Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Regular Custom Orders

(Birthdays, Anniversaries, Treat Boxes, etc.)

We understand that life happens! For standard custom orders, our policy is as follows:

  • Cancellations 7 Days Notice: You are eligible for a full refund, minus a 10% processing fee.
  • Cancellations 3-6 Days Notice: Your 50% deposit is non-refundable (as ingredients and prep have begun). Any remaining balance paid will be refunded.
  • Cancellations Less than 72 Hours Notice: No refunds or credits will be issued. At this stage, your dessert is already in production.
  • "Change of Mind" After Pickup: Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot offer refunds once the item has been accepted and leaves our premises.

2. Wedding & Tiered Cake Orders

(Orders booked 3+ months in advance or involving multiple tiers)

Wedding cakes require significant administrative time, tastings, and the "locking in" of a date that prevents us from taking other large commissions.

  • The "Save the Date" Deposit: All wedding bookings require a non-refundable retainer. This is not refundable under any circumstances as it covers consultations and lost opportunity costs.
  • Cancellations 30+ Days or 1 month Before Wedding: Any payments made above the non-refundable retainer will be refunded in full.
  • Cancellations 14-29 Days Before Wedding: 50% of the total contract price is non-refundable.
  • Cancellations Within 14 Days of Wedding: No refunds or credits are possible. Ingredients, specialized florals, and structural hardware have already been purchased and labor has commenced.

3. Dissatisfaction & Quality Issues

We want you to love your Nicsdelite experience. If there is a major issue:

  • Flavor/Quality: If you believe there is a structural or flavor defect, you must notify us within 24 hours. We require the uneaten portion of the cake to be returned to our kitchen to evaluate the issue before a partial refund or credit is considered.
  • Aesthetics: Minor variations in color or "artistic flair" are not grounds for a refund. Please inspect your cake thoroughly at the time of pickup or delivery.
